The six-mile-long Levenmouth Rail Link
was reopened in 2024.
It is now a decade since the £355m,
35-mile-long Sco琀�sh Borders Line,
connec琀椀ng Edinburgh with Galshiels and
Tweedbank was royally reopened.
Network Rail Project Manager,Joe
Mulvenna, said: “The return of the
railway to these communi琀椀es for the
昀椀rst 琀椀me in more than 昀椀ve decades is
momentous and life-changing.”
Such has been the line’s success, it is
now being improved. An extension to
Carlisle is on the cards.
