EDUCATION AND TRAINING
The re-opened Skipton-Colne Line would
boost access to higher and further
educa琀椀on.
East Lancashire residents wan琀椀ng to
study over the border in Yorkshire have
the same right to a fast, frequent train
service as their big city counterparts.
Centres of learning in both coun琀椀es will
become far more accessible, to all.

QUALITY OF LIFE
The revived line would enable visitors
to get to many tourist and leisure
des琀椀na琀椀ons more quickly and more
sustainably.
Currently, just 4% of visitors to the
Yorkshire Dales Na琀椀onal Park arrive by
train.
Access to green space, especially wilder
countryside, provides signi昀椀cant physical
and mental health bene昀椀ts.
